Mental Illness Fact Sheet

For this assignment, you will be creating a fact sheet of a mental illness of your choice.  This sheet is meant to be informative and visually appealing.  These will be copied and handed out to the class so please make sure they are thoroughly proofread and well put together.

Requirements:

·         Must include 20 facts.

·         Must be put together in a Theme on Microsoft Word

·         Page border

·         Your name

·         Title

·         Resources (at least 3) – Wikipedia is not acceptable.

You will be marked on:

·         Information – Thoroughness, completeness, accuracy

·         Visual Appeal – Theme, border, title, name

·         Resources – 3+ Resources that are valid and legitimate.  You can put these at the bottom of your fact sheet.

When creating your fact sheet, some information you may wish to cover are:

·         Causes

·         Symptoms

·         Treatment

·         Impacts on other dimensions of wellness

·         Common people that it affects (age, race, geographical location, sex)

·         Research currently being done

·         Variations of the illness

·         Supportive associations and services available in Saskatchewan to people/families suffering with the illness

Your assignment can be no more than 1 page.  When your assignment is complete, you may drop it in Miss Ermel’s folder so that it can be printed in colour and marked.  You will have 2 classes to complete this assignment.
